Rakul Preet Singh is an Indian actress and model who works in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi films. She was born on 10 October 1990 in New Delhi, India. She is the daughter of Rajender Singh, a businessman, and Kulwinder Singh, a housewife. She has two siblings, Aman Preet and Shivender Preet.
Rakul Preet Singh completed her schooling from Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi. She then pursued a degree in Mathematics from Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi. She was a state-level athlete and was also a national-level golf player.
Rakul Preet Singh made her acting debut in 2009 with the Kannada film ‘Gilli’. She then went on to appear in several Telugu and Tamil films. She made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film ‘Yaariyan’. She has also appeared in several music videos.
Rakul Preet Singh has won several awards for her performances in films. She won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance in the Telugu film ‘Venkatadri Express’. She also won the SIIMA Award for Best Actress for her performance in the Tamil film ‘Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru’.
Rakul Preet is also an active philanthropist. She is the brand ambassador of the ‘Save the Children’ organization and has been actively involved in several charity events. She is also a fitness enthusiast and has been featured in several fitness magazines.
